A happy golden retriever sitting on the lakeside decking at Primrose Lodge

Dog Friendly · Cotswolds

Bring the dog. Properly.

Bring your dog along for a relaxed Cotswolds escape — lakeside walks from the door, open countryside on the doorstep, and a warm welcome at the lodge.

Straight from the gate

Paws on the path in two minutes.

Step out of the lodge and you're straight onto the Cotswold Water Park — roughly forty miles of level, lake-fringed paths spreading out from the gate.

A day out · Cirencester Park

One of England's most dog-friendly market towns.

A short drive from the lodge, Cirencester is famously welcoming to four-legged visitors — and Cirencester Park is the heart of it. Treat your dog to a freshen-up at The Old Kennels Dog Wash, share a puppy ice cream at the Beano Café, or set off along the park's miles of open walking routes.

In return, the park asks a few simple things: keep dogs on a lead in the marked areas, clean up after them using the bins provided, and keep them under control at all times.
